The correct incubation temperature, whether maternal or artificial incubation is used, is crucial for python eggs. If you get the temperatures wrong you can very easily end up with a clutch like this. Maternal incubation is possible buy yet not recommended because it is difficult to maintain the correct background temperature and humidity in a cage. The mother also ends up with two extra months that she will not eat and continue to loose condition. The first good step to artificial incubation is to have the incubator set up, tested and running before the eggs are laid. Artificial incubators can be bought or homemade for a fraction of the cost but just remember saving a few hundred rand to take a short cut can easily cost you thousands of rand in unborn babies if it doesn't work or something goes wrong and you fry your eggs.
